think ecological ● act local ● share global

ecoculture is a way of living in any place on the earth, guided by its ethos and shaped by the dynamics of the people, all other life and the environment over generations.

All actions within ecoculture are guided by our core ethos:

• care and respect for the Earth and all life on it, including people

• responsible consideration for future generations and/with acknowledgement of the past

• recognition that every person has a unique place within the culture

• acceptance that there is only an appropriate share of the Earth’s resources available for each person.

The Elements of Ecoculture

Ecoculture is a dance between the living earth and human culture expressed in the 3 elements of food, tools & society. The elements of ethos, wellbeing, creativity, relationships, learning & design provide the foundations for the weaving of the dynamics between the various parts.

The ecoculture Advisory Group is based in Northland, New Zealand with people making contributions from wider New Zealand and other countries.
